Hi. I'm Stacey. That's me up there with my husband Christopher. We live in Philadelphia and have two cats named Random & Sneak.
In the morning hours, I work as an office manager at a small office. In the evenings, I do what I love most--teach piano lessons.

I've been fortunate enough to study music for nearly my entire life. Since childhood, I've studied both the piano and the oboe. In college & graduate school, I majored in Oboe Performance and studied under world class musicians from the Cleveland, Chicago & Pittsburgh Symphonies. Though my lifelong goal was to become an oboist of a major symphony orchestra, life has a funny way of opening up new & unexpected doors. After finishing school, I started teaching piano lessons for the purpose of making some extra money (finding oboe students isn't the easiest thing in the world) and I ended up falling madly in love with it (and my students). Now I am striving to run a successful small business and to not only be an innovative teacher for my students, but also a caring one. Although I have students of all ages, I particularly love teaching the young ones (especially the 4-8 year olds)!
My husband Christopher & I met in our hometown of Pittsburgh, PA in 2008 after we were both finished with school. A year later, we were married and, although it was all a little fast, it was the best decision of my life. Marriage has already taught me so much in just these 5 years and I look forward to many, many more with Christopher walking next to me.
Like me, Christopher is also a pianist. He studied Creative Improvisation as his music degree. His ears are so, sooo good. He's also a recording engineer, a diehard cat lover, and the primary (and skillful) cook in our tiny kitchen. He plays music with a group of musicians called Cuddle Magic, one of the most creative & innovative bands that I've ever heard.

This blog is (or hopes to be) a humble little place. I'm not looking to have a high-traffic website, 8 million followers, or make extra income with ads lining the sides of my posts. This blog is just a place to document some things from our lives. It certainly won't document everything--just some details of things that I'd like to remember. I hope that someday, far off, I can look back on this blog as a reminder of my younger years. I hope that it will help me remember some of the things that I had forgotten about my own past. And I hope that I will be able to look back on this person that I am right now and actually appreciate & respect who she is/was.
I hope that none of my posts ever give the impression that our lives (or we, ourselves) are perfect. We're most certainly not. We have our fair share of good & bad just like everyone else. We're only human, after all, and life is quite the journey.
If you're reading this and happen have your own blog, let me know... I'd love to follow your journey too!
